The Championship Course in Someren
All 27 holes of De Swinkelsche were designed by golf course architect Frank Pont, whom Golf Weekly named the most successful golf course architect in the Netherlands in 2010. The 18 holes of the Championship Course cover some 90 hectares of woodland, heath and water, in the De Heihorsten nature area in Someren.
Nature, peace and space define the course: wide fairways, large greens with pronounced slopes and big bunkers with jagged edges. It is laid out so that you play from summer tees to summer greens all year round, with a buggy or trolley too.

The Peelrijtbaan and the aqua range
The 9 holes of the Peelrijtbaan lie around the aqua range, laid out for beginners and for a short round. Here you play with a course permit or handicap 54; for the Championship Course you need a handicap of 54 or better and an NGF card.
There is a driving range with 19 covered bays, plus a putting, chipping, pitching and bunker green. The clubhouse with terrace is open seven days a week from 8:30. If your travel companion does not play golf, they may not join you on the course; there is, however, a walking area next to the course.

Tip from reception
Save De Swinkelsche for the second day of your stay and set off after breakfast: it is about a 40-minute drive. Book your tee time in advance by phone or email and be on the tee 10 minutes before your tee time. Golf clothing and golf shoes are compulsory, and for the Championship Course you need a handicap of 54 or better.
