Typical North Limburg regional products!

The most famous is of course the "King of the Vegetables!: The ASPARAGUS! In the months of May and June, you can make wonderful cycling trips along the asparagus fields. The Asparagus and Mushroom Museum De Locht is definitely worth a visit. Also the CHAMPIGNON is also an important regional product that is served in nearly every restaurant. In the Paddestoelerij in Horst, you can learn everything you ever needed to know about mushrooms. The theme park Aardbeien-land will tell you everything about STRAWBERRIES. In the summer months, it’s possible to even pick the strawberries from the ground yourself! In the Limburg village of Broekhuizen, the special BLUEBERRIES are cultivated, which are used in tarts, ice-cream, juice and wine. Between the blueberry plantations, there is the orangerie "Hayberries-Stop", a place to relax and test these delicacies for walkers and cyclist alike. During harvest season, it is also possible to pick the blueberries yourself. Of course, don’t forget you’ll find much of this regional produce in our own menu!
